I was honored to get the opportunity to submit concepts for the 2021 Fancy Feast ornament. I started out researching seasonal trends and sketched out a few ideas to pursue. Baking is an integral part of my family's holiday traditions and I especially look forward to using my great-great-grandma's sugar cookie recipe. I sketched the silhouette of the iconic Fancy Feast cat as a deliciously decorated sugar cookie that could come with a coordinating cookie cutter.
Out of several concepts presented and reviewed by the client my cookie concept won and joined in the tradition that has been created with annual Feastivities Ornament. This concept also created further incorporation into the baking theme by including a recipe from Nestle Tollhouse for people to bake their own Fancy Feast cookie.
